Featured artist: Dave Gearty

Dave Gearty is a Sligo based artist who graduated with a B.A in Fine Art (Hons) at Sligo Institute of Technology. He has shown work in many group shows including Iontas Small Works, Sligo Art Gallery.His previous work was in collage, wood, mixed media and he works now mainly in oils.Much of his current work is concerned with effects of 'Progress' on the enviroment. His images derive from photographs which are digitally manipulated and further enhanced through a very sensitive painting style.
